Talking about Chinese A level Oral (I only got a pass)…
Amanda: Yeah the person before you sets the standard. Maybe you got a damn pro one before you that’s why even though you were okay, you only got a pass. If the person before was lousy then you’d be comparatively better. Who was before you?
Me: Ah.. Lois.
Amanda: Yah lah, she got Distinction, she speaks Chinese at home so she’s damn pro.
(So do I but that didn’t help much haha)
Joyin: So who was after you?
Me: Julien. What did she get?
Amanda: Distinction. HAHAHAHA.

Haha I know Chinese is so last year, but my heart still breaks over it, that and Chinese O levels too, sob. My mother is Taiwanese, up to this day I still don’t understand why my Chinese isn’t as pro as hers despite all that hard work and conversing with her for 18 years!!! Argh!!! Why!!!
